Hi Robscix. Hope you could spare me some time and give me some suggestions.

I'm using a Auzentech forte and i use the headphones mainly for gaming. I'm happy with the forte, but am wondering if it is possible that a better, seperate headphone amp would give me clearer positional sounds in FPS. My budget is around 200-300. Either way, could u be kind enough to give me some suggestions to headphone amps? I was looking at a graham slee novo, but the inputs are RCA. The forte output is only 3.5mm. Thanks.

    ROBSCIX,
Thanks for sharing your insight in STX thread. As a newbie in sound cards, I feel I'm learning something by reading your posts. I'd like to ask a few questions if you don't mind.

You mentioned that STX has high quality analog output & buying it just for SPDIF is a waste. Does that mean for listening to music using 2.0 is better than 5.1?

Youtube videos, mp3 files, etc usually are not split into multichannels, right? Would STX also enhance the performance of playing those files?

I have Logitech Z-5500 speakers, if I use STX analog, would I end up on using only 2 of the 5 spkrs? I'm considering on buying either Xonar D2X or STX. I don't play game that much, but I listen to music and movies a lot. I want to buy the best sound card that can make max use of my Logitech Z-5500 especially for music, what do you think is better? I kinda get the impression that STX has everything D2X has to offer (for music & movies purpose) and even gives more with its headphone features.
