I'm planning a ultra-light/slim setup with a 8GB nano 3G velcro'ed to this cheap cmoy amp, for now:

I plan on going with serious unit down the road -- any amp suggestions for a very light, slim 3G nano pocket rig?
I like the design with the low profile, side facing dock adapter, but my concern is does this adapter lock into place in the ipod?
I would also like a quote on a 3 foot long dock cable like this:
