    I have no idea never tried the AKG K701. I know the DAC chip in the claro halo is pretty well-liked though, haven't read about the chip in the essence. You should ask someone who has tried both though. Preferably someone who has swapped the opamps in the claro halo too since the stock opamps are so-so.

    Hi, i have a question: The Asus Essence and the HT Omega Claro Halo use the same headphone amp but diferents DACs, my question is: Is the HT CLARO HALO XT and the AKG K701 a good combo?
