Hello,
I am based in Athens, Greece.
I am about to order the P-200 from Japan. This is a one way trip, ie it can't go back if I don't like it.
Have you had a chance to listen to it?
I can't find anybody who has, or any reviews about it.
Please help me if you can and kindly reply to rosgr63@mac.com
Many thanks
Stavros
Hey, so, I have some questions about the zero dac and it's competitiors, etc.
I really want to buy a dac / pre amp combination type thing like the zero. I was really excited about buying one until the april 2009 edit you added, I'm a little freaked out. I really like the price point on the zero, and that's what drew me the most to it. If you were to recommend another, where would you direct?
I'm an Australian living in western Japan. Computers became boring, so I got into head-fi instead.

WalkGood has written up a good summary about portable amps, and what they can or cannot do in the Why bother with portable amps? thread. It's important as people seem to have the mistaken impression that an amp and expensive LOD will give them some kind of audio nirvana, when a better pair of IEMs is really what they need.

There's a handy thread here with a bit more explanation than one usually gets. From it:

I realised when making a post just now that I haven't written much anywhere on comparisons I've done with my Phoenix to other high-end amps. I've only had experience with 3, including the Phoenix, so I wouldn't regard myself as knowledgeable. I bought an Audiovalve RKV from another Head-fier because I was keen to find out what high-end tube amps were capable of. At present I'm using it as a speaker amp of all things, using the impedance adaptor, and the Phoenix as a pre-amp to it (and a kind of...
I remember a while back finding information in the forums on this DIY amp was troublesome, as searching for "M^3" doesn't work and, as well, it's referred to as the "MMM" and "M3". So, without further ado, courtesy of a couple of other Head-fiers, here is a list of M^3 threads:
From time-to-time someone wants to get into DIY'ing their own gear, but doesn't know where to begin. Learning to solder is a good start, along with some electrical circuit basics. Some good suggestions for resources for this have been suggested by people in this thread which is worth book-marking for future reference.
