Default Custom 3 cord complaint.

I just wanted to say that I really don't like the cord on the Custom 3. It kinks really easily and is hard to unkink. Please come up with a better cord in any new versions. Right now I have a kink in the cord where the cloth covering has split and now the rubber/plastic under it is showing.

Yeah I just had to get my entire Custom 3 replace because the cord shorted out.
The best thing for them and all IEM makers to do is follow Ultimate Ears and make the cords replacable. Also there needs to be a minimization of the microphonics.

I agree with that when it comes to the more expensive IEMs. I get the feeling a few durability issues are going to come out of Klipsch first-generation IEM ownership in the real world - things that Klipsch could not replicate in their simulated durability tests. There is this issue with Custom 3 cables and the "tails" on the X10 splitting.

Does anybody offer replacement cords on IEMs? I think that this would be a huge untapped market.

Only IEMs from Ultimate Ears use detachable/replacable cables.

I own a set of Custom 2 and was very dissapointed with their cords.
It's like having having super hearing: of anything that touches the cord!!!

Anyways, I've came up with a solution, and has been working beautifully.
I've stuffed those moldable blue staedler artist erasers into the memory wire casing.
make sure to fill in alll the gap between the cord and the tube.

let me know if it works for you as well.
