Logo Contest Finalists. Time to vote!
So we announced we'd be posting 6 entries nominated by the organizing staff, but we lied. There was much public dissension over the available choices but after a few gallons of beer and a cage match, these made it to the voting public.
Thanks all for the awesome work. Trust that we all had favorites that didn't make it. Mostly JP11801 was the naysayer for the great work, so if yours didn't make it flood him with colorful PM's.
We just decided on the end-date for the poll. As Gene says, "February 15th, it's half a moon phase (+ 1 day)!". Alright, sounds good to me.

Figures the one I spent the least amount of time on makes the cut.
Oh, yeah, I'd put a another line or two of space between the upper images and the "Entry #" below it.
Just so we don't have a hanging Chad situation here.

Well, none of mine made it either... can't say i'm not disappointed... i think they were at least good enough to make the finals.
Thanks blessingx for unofficially voting for one of mine

By the way, if it was going to be voted by everybody anyway, why not just allow people to vote between all entries? was this finalists stage necessary?

I simply can't understand the human mind XD. There was lots in the thread that I preferred far above these, including what I considered my updated version of mine I entered, the advanced version of Edwood's, and GTracer's design. Instead, some I wasn't expecting to get close to the top eight are winning.
Then again, maybe I just have a bad Saturday (No, I just do) and I'm whining too much.

that thread had so much nice talent!
gtracer and all came up with some really nice logo's in that thread. the final entries are nothing compared to most of what is in the thread. if anything i would say these are not the ones to go with..
i guess there was some damn nice logos given huh? you guys/gals who submitted should be proud of your work for sure!

ZarakiSan - i'm afraid i feel the same as you.
Out of fear of sounding petty or a sore loser, i didn't say it before, but since you and blessingx (who retracted his statement) have said it, i will also join and say that some of the picks for the final 8 have made me raise an eyebrow to put it gently.

Sad to see mine didn't make it, but to be honest I didn't think it would.
I voted for #1 because of its simplicity even though it has that horrible "examplesampleprototypeexamplesampleprototype" text in it. I *assume* that would be removed if it was used.
I am amazed at just how many logos have used the same technique to lighten part of their text. I note that 3 out of the 8 here have used the same technique. Was it a how-to featured in a magazine or something?
