Kids at CanJam?
I haven't really seen threads where people are bringing any kids along. My 7 year old son (8 in 2 weeks) has a budding passion for audio equipment and I really want to bring him to CanJam. I'm curious to know if folks at the tables would have any problems with this. I can see how people might think a kid would not handle their precious equipment, but he's *really* careful and I'm hoping he'd be welcomed. He'll bring his cans along too, of course. What say ye? Anyone else bringing a young head-fier?
Cheers,
-Vik

someone else mentioned they were bringing along a 10 year old. i myself am not bringing any gear so obviously i cant say i would be as apprehensive as some of the other members who have very sensitive/expensive gear. as long as he doesnt wear hair gel and does everything that boom outlined in the "hair gel thread" i dont expect there to be any issues especially if he is really really careful with other peoples toys and is respectful of them.
the curse of head fi at 7 years of age O.o ...god save him =/

It's been mentioned and common sense parenting rules apply (not that any parent would forget), there's no official babysitting service at CanJam, so keep an eye on your children and their curious hands.

Children are welcome at CanJam '08, particularly a budding audiophile who sounds so well behaved and respectful of audio gear. Looking forward to seeing you both.

I've got kids, so I have no problems with them at my table. Just no food on the fingers please

the temptation not to buy hit us like a ton of bricks. You will be surprised to the point that you must own something.
Welcome to THUNDER DOME!!
