I checked my flight, it's coming in at a time still close to yours 2:47. I'll have to tell the pilot to kick it into overdrive.

My advice to you:
- Use your own ears as everybody's hearing and preferences are different.
- Try to audition as much equipment as possible to find your sound.
- Buy used to save money.

You got that right - not what I was expecting at all. Have you been talking to Iron_Dreamer? If I'm not careful, the two of you will convert me back to a Nikon guy before this weekend is over.
I am waffleing between bringing just the 5D and one lens (either 17-40 or 35 1,4L), or the whole kit. Probably the latter since I can fit it in a LowePro backpack and just throw it in the car.
Good times ahead, boys ...

I'll probably have my D80/SB600 rig with me. I'm packing so much other crap, what's a bit more. Back to downloading movies to watch on the plane!

Call me if your flight is delayed. Otherwise, Iron_Dreamer and I can hang around a bit and we can all split a cab, or share a ride if someone can pick us up.

No I haven't been talking to Iron_Dreamer. There's no switching over. Just own both. It's like headphones, you'd be better off with HP1000, HE90, K1000, etc.

Will do. You should do the same in case you are delayed.

I am in about 8pm on Southwest airlines tomorrow evening, and I have a car if anyone needs a ride to the Embassy Suites. Send a PM to me and we can exchange phone numbers.
I have seen many ideas for doings tomorrow evening. Hopefully, a number of us can get together.

Okay! I'm here, checked in and LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO!
Update: I just had a lovely discussion with Ray Samuels. I auditioned a B52 with these Sony closed cans (I can't remember the model ) with source being a meridian CDP. Organic, layered, effortless--just freaking music.
Just freaking music...

I would suspect they are Ray's Sony R-10s and they sound awesome with the B-52s.

Sony is funny like that. 99.9% of the stuff they make is average consumer stuff. Then every once in a while they make some over the top products to show that they still can make quality products.
