Friday Night, May 2 -- What's Happening?
Thursday is Brother Tucker's; and some will be setting up Friday. I don't mind pitching-in setting up. But, anyone have other ideas for later on?

Right now I can only think of things that I hope not to be doing Friday night, which is frantically repairing gear that I'm shipping to the meet!

I, too, hope that is not what you're doing.

You're going to be too busy helping me, with others get all the gear that is coming to my house to the hotel.

I'm pretty sure that once the set up is done, there will be plenty going on to keep everyone busy Friday night.

Well, I'm supposed to arrive at the airport at 6:15 and I'll just have carry-on and I'll be starving... anyone else coming in on Friday who wants to try Brother Tucker's for dinner who won't be able to make it Thursday?

Dan, BT's is around 20 minute drive time from the hotel. There are a bunch of places walking distance from the hotel including Waxy O'Conners Irish Pub, Carlos & Pepe's Cantina, Southport Raw Bar, Ernies BBQ (good stuff), among a bunch of others. Of course, if someone has a car, then BT's is a good choice.

Ed, let me know if you guys want to go. It would be cool to get a Friday crowd together too.
Mike, thanks for letting me know. I guess we'll just have to roll with whatever we've got -- if nobody has a car, we can just eat locally, I suppose.

If you are at the hotel, I can make that happen.

I'm up for anything involving food and drinks. I'm sure Peter is as well.

True enough, but beware that mild-mannered exterior on Peter can sometimes hide a monster:

Friday Night
I am up for anything involving some cold beverages and food. My flight arrive at Fort Lauderdale Airport at about 7pm (assuming no delays), and the Southwest Airlines peanuts won't hold me all evening. I will be renting a car if anyone is arriving at about the same time.

Wish I could get a ride from you, but my wife and I don't arrive until 8:01 and that's too long for you to hang around. Maybe we'll see you at the dinner.
Edit: Oops, wrong thread. We get in on Thursday evening so it's too long for us to wait!
