CanJam 2008 No Pain, No Gain, The Agony and The Ectasy.
Okay- my flight on Jet Blue was supposed to leave JFK at 9.50pm on the Friday of CanJam2008. When we finally got to be on deck for take off, the pilot or co pilot announced that we had to return to the terminal to get some more fuel; as we didn't have enough fuel in the jet to make the trip. Can you imagine this. So we returned to the terminal and refueled. we finally took off at around mid night. I arrived at The Embassy Suites Hotel at 3 in the morning; got my 6 hours and was ready to start CanJam 2008.
Since I had only carry on luggage, I was almost at the point of saying to the JetBlue official that I would like to get off the plane while we were at the terminal for the second time; but something stopped me. I thought to myself-" no pain, no gain." This statement was and is a marathon runners creedo; and as a former 26.2 miler; it remains a philosophy in life. Things worthwhile require effort; specially for people who are addicted to Sound.
Upon going through the two days of CanJam 2008, I began to think that staying on that jet was the right decision. Seeing all the vendors and Headfiers under one roof let me know that I was not alone and that my Sound Addiction was Okay. Thanks for having me at CanJam 2008 How about CanJam Las Vegas 2009.

Bye the way and as an addition to my most recent post; I think I stayed at The Bellagio for a week in the summer of 2007 for about $160 per night through Expedia.com.
Just some thoughts.

My flight down to CanJam was also delayed but only 1 1/2 hours,
I was at the hotel by 9:30pm friday night .
I feel your pain, but it was well worth the trip.
The weekend flew by & before you new it I was boarding the plane to go home .
It would have been nice to spend a few more days to check out the surrounding area, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
