Thanks go out to whomever made the call on the date...it means I'll actually be able to attend this year!! Typically my wife has a professional conference that week, and I'm "stuck" doing daddy duty. I love it, but it's not well suited to out of town trips to Head-Fi meets.
Wahoo!! I can make it to a National Meet!!!
Most excellent news, Tom! I do recall that you had this conflict last year but certainly can't take credit for picking the right dates. Gene was the sensitive one (as always). He realized the Mother's Day fell on the following weekend which was our original target date, so we moved it back a week.

It will be a blast.
In case anyone tries to make a reservation, they might not have us in their system yet. I am guessing by Monday it should be fine. If there are problems, let me know and I will contact the ES. I mentioned somewhere above, I should be able to post a link to make reservations online in about a week.
Great Great!!! I will definietly sign up for a table. Count me in.

"When Ruthie says come see her in her honky-tonk lagoon, where I can watch her waltz for free 'neath her Panamanian moon. An' I say, "Aw come on now you must know about my dedutante." An' she says, "Your debutante just knows what you need but I know what you waaaant."
I'm planning to go back to the US next year probably in the 1st quarter, living in Orlando,FL for quite a while. If I make it I'll be able to attend the meet and I certainly will!
And if everything goes well, I won't have 106º fever as last year in San Jose and can show you Florida Crew some serious drinking, European(Portuguese) style! :veryevil: :veryevil:
As soon as I know more details about being in Florida next year, I'll let you guys know!
Manuel

Aw man I had chicago all planned out... pop on the amtrak with all my gear, no problem. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the larger gear on airlines? Or should I even bother?
