Want to get other feedback on this seller. I purchased some new cables/eartips for my UE5s from their ebay store. The envelope arrived empty and torn open.
It's been 3 business days so far and I haven't received a response to my emails regarding the issue.
Are these guys legit? They don't seem to have a phone number anywhere and only have 1 email address available. Should I expect a long turnaround on an email response?
I've only had good experiences with DiscountHeadphones.com. Bought two times from them (foamies and Ety filters) and everything arrived as described in a reasonable time.
I ordered some tips from them and it took much longer than they told me for me to receive them, I was told it must have been slow shipping because of the Christmas season. Everyone else has seemed to say good things about them though.
Well, my original package *did* arrive in a timely manner. However, I received an empty envelope (it had obviously been opened/tampered with) and haven't been able to get a response from their "service@" address in over a week. Totally unhelpful. I mean if they're not going to do anything for me (although they should, since the auction stated insurance included) they could at least tell me so I could take my business elsewhere...
I, too, had problems with communication after purchasing some Shure olive foam tips. No tracking number, no response to emails. However, the product arrived 1 week after purchasing them through ebay. Idealsound finally answered my emails after the product arrived and were profusely apologetic. Their explanation was that they had just completed a move and that included their computers, etc. and thus were unable to communicate in a timely fashion. This occurred in early February. I am wondering if the customer service is back to satisfactory after the move.

That's the exact excuse they gave me over a month ago. That was fine, I thought, and quite possibly legitimate (although it would seem to me that if you're really going through a move where you have no email you probably shouldn't try and sell things on eBay). They quickly sent me out a new package that only include 1 of the 2 items I purchased. SH1+!
Well it's about 2 months (and 10+ emails from me) after the original transaction and I still haven't received my $19 cables. I filed my complaint process with eBay today and hopefully will end up getting them, whether it's from them or someone else.
I WOULD NOT recommend purchasing from iDealSound, as their communication has been nothing short of atrocious (1 email in 2 months -- that's it). At this point I don't believe that them moving (if they really moved at all) had anything to do with the poor communication of this seller. Check their feedback; it seems they NEVER reply to issues that may arise.
Bought various tips, cable etc from iDealSound on Ebay over the past 2 years or so...Never had a single issue with their service, comms or such. IME, they've always been an exceptional trader: I happily & heartily recommend them.
Check their feedback on eBay. They frequently upset people by not shipping/having an issue with the order and then not responding to email. By the looks of it their excuse is always "we've been moving and our email server was down." Yeah, right. If your email server is down for 4+ months at a time where you can't reply to customers, you probably shouldn't be a power seller on eBay.
