Default Zombie Defense-Fi

If anyone has read Max Brook's "The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead" you, like myself, have probably wondered what to do in the event a zombie outbreak happens. Please post pics of tools you'd use to defend yourself from the zombie hordes that you can find around the house.

p.s I know just how silly this sounds.

Playing "Plants vs. Zombies" is a wonderful way to practice on defending your house. Well, assuming your plants could do what the virtual plants could do.

It depends on the type of zombie as to what to do.

Dawn of the dead slow moving are easy its the 28 days later run fast and shower you with blood type that scare me!

I live half a mile from where i work (i work alone) which is a glass fronted 3 storey building with a glass front and steel shutters. The back entrance is a steel gate 8' high and then a steel door there is are no other ground floor windows. The building is over 200 years old and is made of stone so it's pretty bullet proof

Its in the centre of my town but there are food shops nearby for looting. thats where ill be if mr zombie comes calling.

Weapons over here are not an option so tools will be a cricket bat, battery drill and a pair of running shoes

p.s. i might also insult their personal hygene in the hope that i embarrass them into going home for a shower and not eating me

Probably not. There are a fair of those "In Case of Zombie" display cases running around. For the most part, they're airsoft replicas or deactivated shotguns. Not too many people are willing to go through the NFA hoops in order to have an inaccessible wallmount shotgun for display.

Chainsaws... always have a Chainsaw nearby. And not the stubby ones either, you want a long one.

Chainsaws need gas and there are too many moving parts to service. You'd want something nice and solid that is also able to keep an edge. Like a machete or katana. Or you could go with heavy and blunt, like a sledge hammer.

If I've learned anything from playing Diablo as a kid, it is that blunt weapons are ineffective against the undead. Ill take a fire-axe. On a more accessible note, we have a high-pressure nailgun and a portable pressure tank (worn as a backpack) at work, exactly for these types of situations.

I have a Kodachi that should be good for close range defense. Still working on a long range weapon though...
