The latest I've heard is that new notebooks are coming in the third quarter, not next month. Don't think the new Intel chips will be ready until then, either. It all makes sense - everything should come together to sell a mess of them over the holidays. I might upgrade, especially if we get a quad core MacBook Pro.
What is, apparently, coming soon is the 3G iPhone. I already have money set aside for one.

Mee too, I loved my 13 inch macbook, eventhough mbp is tempting however I don't like to bring 15 inch laptop while travelling.

my thoughts exactly. i'd much rather prefer the macbook to the pro just on the sheer account of portability, which is what nature intended laptops to be. the pro just looks big and clunky. not for me.

Do you know if the new Pro is going to be just an internal update or are the going to redesign the case also?
I don't know, but they've been kicking this design around since the Titanium Powerbook. You'd think they'd make a change sooner or later.
I have heard that the MacBook is going to get an aluminum/stainless treatment to bring it in line with the rest of Apple's gear.
Mostly I'm hoping for a quad core. My rule of thumb is no upgrades unless the new model is twice as powerful.

Who expects/saving up for a "new" mac book (pro) in june?
