My battery backup is too weak to run my rig, so I pulled it out of the circuit.... I'm currently going into an Isobar IBAR4.

It would be best to make the Brickwall the last thing before plugging into the wall.
For me:
Workstation #1 + Fun Box #1 --> Belkin Isolator --> Tripplite Ultra 1000VA UPS --> Brickwall --> AC Mains
HTPC --> Tripplite Ultra 1000VA UPS --> Brickwall --> AC Mains
Server --> Tripplite Isobar --> APC 1000VA SmartUPS --> AC Mains

Straight into the wall. 8 years with at least 1 power outage every year and no power related problems with my PC.
It's a Pentium P3 overclocked to 512mhz and I'm not replacing it until it explodes or melts.

Computer is on a 1200 VA APC.
Everything else in the house is on a 350VA APC.
I live in an old condo and brownouts are common. Guess thats what you get when your computer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, water heater, and furnace are on one breaker.

Laptop plugged into a Kill-A-Watt power usage monitor attached to a power strip. It's fun seeing how many watts the system uses while charging, idle, under load, different power usage profiles, etc.

All of my computers run off surge protectors/power strips.
Better safe than sorry!

APC Line-R 1200 line conditioner, no power blackout in my area so my main goal is surge protection + line conditioning against brownouts and spikes.
