Default Value of a Bogen Tripod

I own a Bogen tripod model number 3222, which has a Bogen head part number 3047. It is in better than 9 out of 10 condition, and I am trying to find what it is worth in order to sell it. The individual base which is attached to the camera body and allows a quick disconnect is not included.

Anyone here has any idea? Thanks.

New it retails for $155. Used, I'd think you're looking at around $75 if you can find a buyer.

had a bogen tripod with a different head. decided I could never get what it was worth and gave it one of my daughters who has an interest in photography.

you might consider trading it for new equipment. probably get the same as you would otherwise. tax write off to goodwill may even be better.

agree 50% of new for excellent condition is probably about right for bogens.

I assume you mean the tripod portion only, or are you including the head as well? I ask because new the tripod is $150 to $175 w/o a head. Thanks.

Aimless1, when I returned from my last overseas job a lot of my stuff was stolen during the move. Including all my cameras, the tripod was in another box so it made it. So now I stil have it and a basic studio lighting kit by SP.

MrArroyo, great well built tripods. Seems everyone I know wants a Gitzo & etc. My daughter loves the 3055 with large ball head. These tripods are grossly underrated IMO. Now that ball head, that's a little different story. Like listening to an RS-1 vs SR-60, that's the gulf between the Bogen head and my ARCA. But the tricked out Gitzo I have is no better then the Bogen for providing a good stable base to perch your camera on. Lighter, but not better.

Good luck with the sale.
