Default usb wireless adapters are s...?

hi
anyone else had trouble with usb network adapters?
i have had 3 and all are absolute pants!
all netgear as well!
just ordered a pci version, netgears very last f...... chance!
gonna sell the old ones to anyone with more patience than me.

I use a Netgear model with my Tivo and it does a good job. I forget the model,. though.

Yeah, they're all pretty bad. If you have one with a Ralink chipset, it's worth keeping it around for cracking WEP networks though. The Linux drivers support packet reinjection so it only takes about two minutes to pop open a secured network. Handy to keep in your laptop bag when you're travelling.

Of course, this is a felony in many states, so that's something to bear in mind
