The SONY analog Hi-8 camcorder we have used for the past 9 years broke; the on/off switch separated and the unit is inoperable. I have recorded many tapes over the years. How would I best transfer them to a DVD or thumb drive medium?
Repairing the camcorder strikes me as cost inefficient. I could buy a used Hi-8but I would still want to transfer the tapes I've taken.
