Just got a new skeet gun and was wondering if any head-fi'ers were into this? Thought I'd post a pic, it's a nice little O/U.
I'm not into it, but I sure want to be. Someday I'll have the money, time, and inclination to get a double-gun and get into bird hunting and skeet shooting. I really, really love going out quail and dove hunting but I haven't gone for several years. Right now I just have a Winchester 1200 12 gauge that I got for my 12th birthday. It's ok, but I'd really like to buy a nice double someday.

A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper,..a jock. So I tell 'em I'm a pro jock and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama himself. The Twelfth son of the Lama; the flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So i'm on the first tee with him, I give him the driver; he hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long...into a ten thousand foot crevasse right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says: (pause) 'Gunga Galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga.' So we finish the 18th and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey. How about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know?' And he says, 'Oh, uh, there won't be any money. But when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So i've got THAT going for me. Which is nice."

I don't get to go bird hunting much anymore since I moved, but clays are pretty cheap and it's not to hard finding an area to shoot them at. That Winchester looks alot like the gun I keep out for "home defense" mines a cheapo, but it does make alot of noise when you chamber a round.
I do some skeet and bird hunts from time to time. I don't currently own any guns...although I'm working on that
Right now my dad has a Savage Model 444 that I might buy. Decent gun, but fixed chokes. Certainly like over/under over pump or SA. Faster reload times for me. He's got a Browning Citori, I can't remember the model number. That's a damn fine gun, but a little expensive for me.
Ur tittle sounds like u went into a Hifi store, and went gimme this, gimme that, throw in a dozens gold-plated drinks casters, and wipped out ur wad of $100 cash. done in 5 minutes. And yeah, they better be installed for the party tonight!

no shotguns at this time but i have considered a couple... one for home defense and one of those replica trench guns (i've seen how much the real thing goes for... if i ever start crapping out money i'll buy one)

I do a fair amount of Pheasant hunting, because I only hunt what I care to eat (Pheasant is delicious). I have 2 Winchester Model 12 16-gauge shotguns one has a full choke and the other has a poly-choke. They both have the original walnut stocks. They are both in excellent shape considering they are 55+ years old and have been used quite often. I am considering getting the steel re-blued however.
This isn't my gun, but its the same model, gauge, and condition as mine.
