I got a recent picture that a friend took and emailed over. Here is the current setup as it stands today. Basically the Apache is gone and replaced with its elder tube brethren:

meh, firewire is overrated, apple are not reliable, and i dnt know about optical out, but im sure that hp can be upgraded. and as for os, that is a personal matter. if you would read my first post, you would read that i suggested he stick with mac if he wanted osx. there are much better alternatives to mini, no denying that. the only reason for macs is the "image" and osx.

Dude, get a grip!
Apple unreliable??!!!

I perform my day job on a Windoze machine and my home/studies on Macs.

My Macs are umpteen times more reliable than Windoze XP or Vista.

Each to his own. My experience has been otherwise. Image is just an added bonus and I would still own the mac even if everyone else had a bad "image" about it.

It just works for me and my family. We have a 15" powerbook G4, a current style iMac and a 12" Powerbook G4 that got my wife through her Pharm D. program last year. Hec, almost every single person in her class had their laptops crashed or infected or something. She just cruised along with it for 4 full years.

Like I said, each to his own

Bored of apple bashers. this ain't the thread for you. You either like Macs or don't and apparently yu don't gautam, so just leave.
It's a matter of personal opinion and personal choice as to what we want to spend our moneys on - nothing to argue about.

There seems to be more Apple bashing as the popularity of the MAC
grows, must have the other camp worried. I use both for work i prefer
MAC only at home.

As i hate Ipod and other apple products....this thread still makes me want a Macbook Pro =)

This is coming from a avid PC user...since the days of the first Pentinum chip.
