I finally have my final steps of "Operation: PlayStation 3 Steroids". I bought a media server from which the PS3 can stream off. It has 2TB of HDD which all contains HD movies with AC3 or DTS. Music encoded in MP3 or ATRAC @ 320kbps or 352kbps. This is all using TwonkyMedia with streams peaking @ 20-30Mbps. Plus I installed 320GB internal HDD. In addition I just got myself a new audio/video receiver courtesy of Sony free of charge (STR-DA5300ES). Now I can have my Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA. I also moved this PS3 setup from home cinema to living room sporting a 52" 1080p (KDL-52XBR5). Though the sad thing is I rarely watch, listen, or play as I have a very busy day at work trying to push deadlines and meet with people for business and sometimes hang out with my friends.

another one of my hobbies was/is collecting RPG psone games...those are just timeless classics such as FFVII, ChronoCross, Breath of Fire III, IV, especially Xenogears...i prefer them over today's rpg's...

Chrono Cross was so disapointing for me that for the last 7 years I tried to play it 3-4 times, but stopped after the 3rd hours. There is a fanbased CT2 being developed, I hope Square don't shut that one down also. I heard all good things about Xenogears, I even have the game, but I haven't started playing because the japanese robot ideas put me off. I am really bias on this, but I boycott playing any Squaresoft game made after FFVII, where I felt they completely lost originality. Did beat FFIX, but 8 and 10 were horrific, the bigs boobs/pretty boys hero of the new games are disturbing.
I remember as a kid playing FFVI and have 100hours on the save game. I enjoy others Square games like Front Mission and Saga Frontier. BOFIII and IV was also really good. I don't think there will be the turn based menu rpg anymore, beside the elder scrolls that is still single player. I can't wait on what they'll do with the 5th series, I fear it will be mmorpg.

you know Xenogears has a really great story kinda of in the sense of Mechwarriors.. It was turnbased combat but in the like where you press different buttons and pull off various combos based upon the buttons u pressed rather than picking them off a menu (Final Fantasy)
I Think it Squaresoft went downhill right after FFVIII, the story was good...got my blood pumping on some scenes
Thousand Arms is also a great RPG...rather hilarious one, The original Persona's dark as usual. Legend of Mana i can go on and on. They all are great and just as costly as this addiction(headphone). they just take up too much of my time from work and school...

The ps1 outputs loud buzzing sound when I use the RCAs in the back connected to my amp but not when I plug all three RCAs to my TV
So the PS1 is out
I just use the PS3 now for music streaming and it sounds AWESOME
