I've heard good things about the AC 7 since it has a high price-performance ratio. Another relatively inexpensive one to look into is the Xigmatek 1283. If I were paying $50 though, I would rather find a used TRUE 120 on eBay and ask if the seller will ship intl. I got my TRUE 120 w/o a fan for about $50 shipped to Honolulu. I'm sure you could find one cheaper if you're patient enough though.

the artic freezer 7 works ok with my qx6700. quiet too. I get about 60C under a cod4 full on settings 50 man server load. that is a quad though. my 6750 dual ran much cooler with the same Artic 7. They work fine imo. I will send you an old one for $10 and the price of shipping.

Wow. Thanks a heap for your offer! That's a really good price...
I've already made an order though. I would cancel, but I really need to get this heatsink fast as I can't use my computer until I do and I need it for homework... This computer I'm on right now is someone elses, I can't really use it much.
Thanks though!

I hate the push pin clipping method. I cut the pins off of my Mini Ninja cooler and put bolt through kit from Thermalright instead for my E8400.

I got ma new Freezer Pro 7 today. Installation went without a hitch.
ATM its idling around 40C, but thats with a 1ghz overclock (1800mhz to 2800mhz) so it's not too bad. I might lower the overclock a bit just to be safe.

Get a Mac ! No, wait, they run even hotter.
Sorry, since I finally switched to Mac, I've been dying to be the one saying "Get a Mac" instead of the one constantly hearing it.

That was the same thing I thought. What's wrong w/ 50 degrees. Mine runs about that. It's a Duo as well.

coming from someone who builds/overclocks gaming PC's a good amount, take out all your case's fans, and anything in the way that you can.
clean all the dust/etc out of ALL the fans, wires, etc. that could be heating up your system.
one other thing - depending on your system, your computer will run safely up to 100 even 120 degrees before stuff starts melting after hours at that temp.
its not suggested, but its been/can be done.
i busted a heat sync on an overclocked intel 1.86 ghz core 2 due (that was overclocked at 3.4 ghz) and it ran fine for about a week before the computer shut off due to it reaching 120 degrees under load.
nothing broke or anything cept a few wires started melting near the core.
oh and for comparison - the average Apple laptop idles at 60 degrees, so your NO WHERE NEAR the "danger zone"
