Yea I have played a few times and seen many cheap guns break easily (mostly cheap electrics around 50 bucks only the mini electrics for under 50 are good along with spring actions for full auto 75-100+ is good range usually 100+ is best)

Good choice it has a full metal gear box, the gear boxs that are plastic often break and its not good your gun is trashed. Maybe get a pistol too as backup even just a small one.

They can also jam with light BBs make sure you use .2g bbs, they also hurt more to get shot by :P

UTG AK47 Warhawk Beta Spetsnaz AEG Rifle

That has higher accuracy, slightly cheaper while still metal gear box and has 2 400 round mags.

Edit: Get a speed loader too, they save a ton of time with large magazines

no, simunition is used through real weapons, usually by replacing the reciever with a special 9mm receiver (upper) setup (for m-4 setups) and are paint rounds with a watered down amount of powder. (used by military and law enforcement) Hurt like hell!! Airsoft is a battery, spring or gas powered 6mm pellet gun. Unlike paintball these tend to be 1 for 1 scaled replicas and even have the same feel. Very cool. I have a Classic Army MP5, I'm getting ready to list it on craigs list, just because I don't use it. The metal gearbox isn't a bad idea by any means. Just look around, there are plenty of deals out there.

Save money for a GOOD, RELIABLE gun. It's worth it rather than having crap break on you and not having easy access to spares that fit.

I suggest a Tokyo Marui AK-47, M-16, MP-5 or the like. Classic Army works good too. Stick with the major well-known Airsoft brands like Tokyo Marui, G&G, Classic Army, etc. I know it's a bit out of your budget, but have you thought about buying used as well? There's lots of American Airsoft forums, and buying used means you get the depreciation passed onto someone else.

I know the difference. I was suggesting Simunition because you get to use a real gun, it's just much more realistic.

It's also usually older people, you don't get stuck playing with teenagers like you would if you played airsoft.

It was just a suggestion.

Simunition is also more expensive, and harder to find places that will allow it - airsoft is quite accessible, almost to the level of paintball. If the OP is dis-inclined to actually go through a firearms safety course, he or she will not be able to buy the firearm in the first place.

It's just more hassle than airsoft, though the realism factor goes WAY up.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. Thats a bit of an investment money wise along with finding others to do so. (would be weird playing alone) Also if your not playing on an appropriate course. I've met some very overly anxious officers in my time. Being shot by local law enforcement would be a concern.

And Airsoft looks less realistic?

Plenty of people conceal-carry, so that isn't really an argument against simunition.
