I agree! They are great bang for the buck. I have 4 of them that I got at Costco. Which model did you just get?
The V7 model. Excellent. Very handsome. Built like a tank too and paid less than $100 on ebay brand new. Amazing bargain for what you get and it's made in Switzerland and they do comply to Swiss laws on proper Swiss quality watch making. A great Swiss watch for less than $100. Big bang for your buck on ebay listings. Even at full MRSP it's still a good value.

They are not built like a tank at all, I have owned several of those, if you want a far better watch, for around those prices, and also three years warranty, from one end of the strap to the other, hassle free, what means glass, case, and bracelet, get a Pulsar made by Seiko...those are built like a tank...
I have a few of the Wenger ones, the case get scratched very easily, and in all cases, while the battery was dead, and sent for replacement "by coincidence" the movement was also bad, and needed replacement also, not a big deal 24 bux, plus 20 of the battery, WTF get a new one!!! They ran out of battery inside the first year, BTW...
Also the big deal is that with the expensive ones, as they replace models so frequent, by the time the watch need a service, they ran out of spare parts for them...and that happen to me twice...sorry not anymore...
Nivada, Seiko and Pulsar from now on...

Sorry you had bad luck. Mine is extremely well built. The stainless steel body is pretty thick and the watch feels heavy too. The leather band is also thick and tough. There is no plastic at all that is visiable. Perhaps they are getting better now with newer models. From what I've read, they generally get good reviews. You can do a search on the watch forums.
Also, Wenger is no longer a Swiss Army watch maker. The company that makes Swiss Army watches now is Victorinox since they bought Wenger. I would give the new Victorinox Swiss Army watch a chance. It's not Wenger anymore.
Lastly, the 3 year warranty is included with the new Victorinox Swiss Army watches.

Bad luck, well nope....my first was an Alpine
BTW AFAIK the warranty on those does not include case, crystal or straps, just movement and is even a limited warranty...Pulsar is the only one I know off that gives that 3 years warranty, what is curious is that not even Seiko offers it, and they are made by Seiko...
Just to give you an idea I asked for a couple of extra links, they were $17.00 a piece, I asked the same to Pulsar, and they sent me those free of charge to the door of my home, two times (by mistake) 6 links in total, free of charge, no questions asked, just which number was on the bottom to determine the right strap, and if it were silver, or two tone...period...Iaske ot return them and they say, nope, keep them!!!
Also about the new Wengers, they are the same or worst, mine is from their last catalog, take a look here, this is mine $225 retail, not cheap for a quartz watch:
The little yellow dot in the top of the bezel is gone already, it went out while sleeping the first night, the friction with the pillow removed it...it is two months old now...Also the crown while you unscrew it, moves like if it were loose, and all of them do that, now while setting the time while you push the crown down, the whole movement moves and the hands move from the original point you set...no way Jose, I have seen a far better watches out there...and trust me my Pulsar is now 2 years old, same time as new, not a single scratch on it in any place, and I'm not a careless guy with the watches, and I work in an office....
Ok they are not horrible watches, but I have seen far better for that price, and I will not reco them, even while I like them, and I use them...
I have a millionaire Nivada, man, that is a russian tank!!!!
