I was just wondering, how do we make our cellphone to be able to display: eg. Chinese/Japanese characters when we are checking mails or surfing websites with our phone?
At the moment if I use my mobile to visit non-English websites, the words are all replaced by blocks.
I don't mean switching your mobile language to other language, but still using English as the mobile language, but only when I surf the net I want it to be able to show all the Asian characters.
It depends on where or not your phone is capable of multi-byte characters. What kind of phone is it? Can you access the font files on the phone?
The blocks sound like the phone realizes it Asian characters but it doesn't have these characters in it's font. (Sorta like Win XP before you install East Asian Language support).
