I love me some CS1.6 I've played cal-m and cevo-m leagues but I really don't like playing leagues It gets very annoying IMO. I still play with a lot of cal M-I teams and Cevo M-P teams...I have a lot of fun not playing leagues

I'm the opposite when it comes to leagues I've played on and off with 2 groups of friends and relatives on various teams and reforms. been through main and multiple seasons of im and recently I've been lovin me some open. I don't really enjoy the game as much as I used to, but I do enjoy toying around in the lower leagues these days. I find it fun once playoffs come around, though I can't make most the matches. I must admit though, playin with my current team with my cousin is quite annoying due to some people's inflated egos

Haha.. yeaaah.. One of my buddy's teams is doing really well in cal-m this season and a couple teammates of his can get annoying...Needless to say, I only play with them when my friend is present haha..
I spent many a day playing Goldeneye but Perfect Dark is still my favorite FPS of all time. If only they'd bring it to Xbox Live Arcade with an online multi-player mode, I'd still pay full price for it.

Yeah, that's pretty much my feeling as well but I wouldn't quite call it rubbish, just not as involving as H2 to me so I get bored with it quick. Either way though, I'm moving on to COD4 for my FPS needs.
I've been playing CS:Source for a couple years now, a bit of UT2004, and just recently TF2, though I really need to upgrade my pc for games like TF2. When I do that, I'll also be playing UT3, and maybe call of duty 4 as well.

I used to play very competitively, but these days multiplayer FPSes bore me. I know it's an incredibly elitist attitude, but after playing with clans and falling out of that croud I just can't enjoy pugging it. There's no real reward for doing well except your name at the top of the board.
For single player though, this year has been utterly incredible. There are at least three FPSes so far that any other year would have been near shoe-ins for GotY. I hope this is really a sign that the gaming industry is making strides and just not a freak accident of sorts.
I still think Deus Ex is the best FPS of all time though. It's $10 on Steam and you'd be remiss in not checking it out at that price.
The graphics are obviously dated but they were at the time of release as well. The atmosphere of the game is just absolutely incredible and the story the focus, which is a huge part of why it still holds up years later while graphics driven FPSes heralded in years pass quickly fall off the radar. People are picking up this game for the first time thanks to steam and falling in love, I would suggest joining them.
