I like the modern manual models that cut from the side instead from the top. Ikea over here sells perfectly fine ones for cheap: http://www.ikea.com/de/de/catalog/products/10083486

x2. I cut myself on a can of Tune once, I still have scar from it.

And it's not a good scar. There's no cool way of explaining that one to the ladies.

I work at a store that sells home kitchen tools. We only carry the swing-a-way Model that was pictured above. Two sizes. Well enough.

Although a laser cutter sounds very interesting...

The can opener, like the cornscrew, is a device which should long be obsolete. Cans should all simply have ring pull lids and bottles should all be screw caps.
