Geroge ,
Not a fan of paul , ringo never did too much for me ,
Harrison gave some great moments and was very important to the band ,
Plus , he got his wife , Clapton gave us Layla
It was a real tossup for me between John and Paul. John's solo career means more to me than Paul's. But I prefer Paul's Beatles songs to John's over all. I went with Paul because I feel he was more naturally gifted (at least musically)......as a person though, my favorite may be John or even George.

My vote goes with George. IMO he is definately underrated and should also of been given more limelight and chances to shine within the Beatles cos his songwriting can be really nice, as he proved with subsequent solo or wilburies work.
His lyrics, attitude and solo career mean more to me. He was also more experimentally oriented.
Paul has exceptional gift for melody. That΄s why his solo efforts make me sad. I mean, hate to see that amount of potential going to waste. Silly and meaningless stuff with great melody but no emotion.
I guess this just means that my approach to music is different.
Though I must say "Here Today" is a beautiful and hearfelt tribute to John. I wish he would tackle more on "the dark side" of life.
You are right. And I do listen to both albums every now and then. Fun to listen.
Still, I feel that even those are just well done showmanship-albums with little to say. Easy to pass by and forget. I just would like to hear more ambitious stuff from him.
