Default One of the most underated bands of all time

The band I am talking about is called RED. If you want one song to see what their all about, I would suggest "Breathe Into Me" or "Let Go". This band is currently not very well known, so I want to try and spread the word. Thanks for taking the time to listen.

EDIT: www.myspace.com/dropofred

Seeing as how common the name "Red" is it would have been nice if you posted a link or at least a description of the band. Anyhow, I assume you meant this band.

Disclaimer: I've only listened to the songs on the myspace page, so I don't know how well the rest of the CD holds up.

Overall Red sounds like what you would get if Evanescences and Linkin Park ever decided to do an album together. To me it sounds very mainstream in that the songs are catchy but repetitive. "Let Go" and "Breathe into Me" sound nice on the first listen, but I know I would get tired of them very fast (much like Linkin Park or Evanescences).

Surprisingly, I found that their acoustic and slower songs (Breathe into Me Acoustic and Pieces) is where the band really shines. Again, it's catchy and repetitive but I have a greater tolerance for emotional slow songs.

So, "what I think" is that I can see this band becoming commercially successful (as in radio play, or MTV) but personally I don't care much for them.

bump for the (imo) great music. I really hope some people get something out of it. In the right situation, these are some of the most powerful songs around.

I don't suppose you have a link that doesn't involve MySpace or Flash?

Very talented, perhaps underrated but they are relatively new and their song Pieces is superb.

I've got to agree with the call on them sounding like a lot of the other bands getting radio play right now. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I don't see anything special about them coming out.
