Looking for a Furtwängler Beethoven Symphony Cycle on Vinyl. Suggestions?
I have just started looking into this and would like some suggestions from the classical music on vinyl faithful here on Head-Fi. I have all the Furtwängler one could ask for on CD. But I also want vinyl as well. I recently picked up a Furtwängler Bruckner cycle on DG vinyl and am waiting for that to arrive. Now I want some Beethoven.
Now, before you start making suggestions know this...I am not interested in throwing down $1,000 to get what I want. I'm looking to spend $150 or less. I also understand that several sets are out there that are not the full cycle. That's ok, so long as it has the 3rd, 5th, and 9th symphonies. If you can't suggest a boxed set then please feel free to recommend individual albums...so long as they all don't add up to more than my budget.
