Jerry Garcia Band Theatre 1839 is an HDCD. It is only available from here: http://www.jerrygarcia.com/purejerry.html
It is a pretty good show, very similiar to Don't Let Go, another JGB release that is also HDCD, but not as good as this.

I'm assuming 20 bit mastering is the same thing. I may be wrong. See photo

Just got this CD as a gift:
And it is another "stealth" HDCD -- one that doesn't reveal its identy until you put it in a HDCD player. Musicially I find it a bit lightweight and humdrum -- Loussier and his trio are either over-reverential or over-cautious to Beethoven's theme; there isn't enough adventures to keep things interesting. There is one delightful moment, however: when they seamlessly graft the first movement of the "Moonlight sonata" onto the Allergetto theme.
Sonically the CD is superb though.

HDCD from Hong Kong
Okay, I took the plunge and bought one of those Hong Kong HDCDs off of eBay.
I got the Eagles-The Very Best Of. It appears to be a genuine Elektra release, made in China.
This is the first CD that I didn't get a cringe during the song Take it Easy.
It's pretty good. Maybe not up to Grateful Dead standards, but it's a big improvement over my old greatest hits CDs.
I got it for 99 cents, but the shipping brought the total price to $7.98

Hmm, if only they had a local retail outlet.... I was debating whether or not to include it, since we don't really know its 'official' status, but then I decided that it's an HDCD one way or another, so up it goes

Elektra CD 62478? Unless it's some sort of remaster or rerelease, it should be HDCD. It might not be labeled on the disc or package, though.

well, i guess its part of my fault too, i didnt really check the HDCD label (which it doesnt have), i just remembered that the CD is listed as HDCD.
Anyway, so i played it on my Player, and its not HDCD...
I also bought Beegess greatest hits... well, this one is HDCD, but i assume its not the best HDCD recording isnt it ? Its good, but its not really outstanding...

There are a few Chinese albums in my collection which are HDCD...
Liang Yong Qi (Gigi Leung) - KISS
Liang Yong Qi (Gigi Leung) - Wo Zhu 7 Lou A
Wang Fei (Faye Wong) - Chang You
Wang Fei (Faye Wong) - Zhi Ai Mo Sheng Ren
Wang Fei (Faye Wong) - Wang Fei (2001)
I'm sure there are a few more, but haven't gone through them. All of these are marked as HDCD. :-)

Not having a HDCD-compatible component CD player available, I tried the Windows Media Player on my Dell PC, and sure enough, the CD layer of my multi-channel hybrid SACD of Dave Brubeck's "Time Out" is HDCD-encoded. However, it's not marked in any way on the packaging.
