My sister being a big Bjoerk fan, thought the best way to introduce to her music was to let me borrow her Greatest Hits CD. Granted I have not listened to any of her other albums, but I think it is precisely due to all the orgasmic material available on that Greatest Hits CD.
I voted for Medulla, However, I think that the poll should have been titled "What is your favorite Bjork album" rather than What is the best Bjork album.
BTW, the surround sound mix of Medulla is absolutely stunning. If you ever get a chance to hear the 5.1 mix from the SACD version of Medulla, played back on a good quality multi-channel surround system, i.e. not through a "Home Theater In A Box" system, I think that you will be impressed.
That said, I can well understand why many people are not that fond of Medulla since it is perhaps Bjork's least accessible recording and at times it can rather difficult to understand.

I love evrything by Bjork and the Sugarcubes before that. Vespertine is my favorite. I cant get to grips with Volta for some reason? I just dont like it.
Recent Obsession: Umphrey's McGee (You have to hear this band if you haven't already!)
Selected Rock: Ben Folds, Sufjan Stevens, Frank Zappa, Grateful Dead, Richard Thompson, Phish, Ani Difranco, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Roy Harper
Selected Classical & Jazz: Shostakovich, Steve Reich, John Adams, Sorabji, Mahler, Arvo Part, Keith Jarrett, John Zorn
Yep, Medulla & Vespertine, Debut, Post, Homogenic.....er, but this is an impossible question! I pretty much love all Bjorks' work...and agree, Medulla is seriously under-rated.
I tried to rip the CD last night on my home computer. It ran all night and never finished reading the first track. EAC could see the CD, but obviously not read it.. iTunes and WMP could not ever see it.
I inserted it into my laptop this morning and iTunes could see it. I didn't start the rip though since I don't have EAC on my laptop.
Does anyone else have such problems playing a dual disc? I'm thinking that I never want to buy one again. I don't have a 5.1 sound system so the DVD layer doesn't do anything for me anyway. It's just the only thing Borders had yesterday.
A slight aside, her uk tour tickets are now selling online for £100 each, minimum of two per order! thats 200 plus booking fee! was going to go see her but thats silly money!
