Bach and Mozart recs please
Aside from The Magic Flute, Hahn Bach Concertos and some compliations I don't have much Bach or Mozart.
I am very partial to string ensambles and would like to pick up a few CD's that would fit that bill with good SQ. What should I look at?

There are TONS of options available. When it comes to Mozart and Bach, two of the most popular composers, there is certainly no shortage of recordings.
Check out the complete Mozart Edition as well as the complete Bach Edition. Both are available on the Brilliant Classics Label for under $200.00.
If you want very specific recommendations, well, let me know.

The "Bach recording for people who don't love Bach" is Glenn Gould's recording of the Goldberg Variations. People tend to take extreme positions on Gould's playing, and while I can't comment on how good he is in general, I like his rendition of the Goldbergs better than some other ones I have heard.
Another choice is a CD with Landowska on her non historically informed harpsichord that has the Goldbergs, Italian Concerto, and Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue.
There are also many other Bach works but to be honest I get tired of constant polyphony and counterpoint after a while (wasn't thrilled with the Cello Suites either). Uhh, for string ensembles, does the Brandenburg Concertos count?
Isofar as Mozart goes, get K466 and K491 (piano concertos no. 20 & 24). :P

K2Grey has a great suggestion. I don't know what recording. But my favorite song of all time is K.466 - it is out of this world.

If you like string music, then your natural choice would be the 6 Brandenburg Concertos and Violin Concertos by JS Bach -- get the excellent rendition conducted by Benjamin Britten, released under the budget line Double Decca.
For Mozart, his string serenades are beautiful, lighthearted fares that are sure to bring a smile. Many great versions exist; for example, check out Marriner/St. Martin in the Fields under Philips.
