If the G1A provide deeper bass and a more linear treble, they are going to be great. In addition, if the mids gain some warmth, they would trounce most portable headphones costing more.

i heard these today at the new york head-fi meet and all i can say is WOW!!!
these are amazing! big soundstage for a portable and very balanced from top to bottom! just bought a pair!
