Thumbs up Great service

I've been a lurker here on head-fi for a few months but I just had to post about the great service I've received from Fang at Head-Direct.

After a lot of research here, I pulled the trigger on a set of Yuin PK1s and a ZyCable iPod LOD a few weeks ago. I'm just starting to get "The Head-fi Disease", and it was my first order with Head-direct (and I'm certainly not affiliated with them in any way). I ordered on a Friday afternoon (West Coast time) and received the package Tuesday which seemed freakishly fast.

Unfortunately the right channel of the PK1s was noticeably weak. I emailed Fang and he happily agreed to take them in for exchange.

The tale of woe continued... Fang never received them. Fedex tracked them as delivered to his doorstep, but somewhere along the line they were lost.

Despite this, after a brief email exchange he's got the replacement set on it's way to me today. I know that for a small business, any loss of inventory like this takes a toll. But Fang has been gracious and responsive every step of the way, and has gone out of his way for me.

I can't wait to get my headphones, and Head-direct definitely has a new, dedicated customer. They've been an absolute pleasure to deal with and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Andrew

I haven't got as great a story to tell, but I would agree that Fang's customer service is fantastic. I sent him a question by e-mail and got an answer back 15 minutes later.

For a small, upcoming company, good customer service is one of the best things they can do for themselves (besides good headphones of course).

Yep, I sent away my RE2's for replacing as the internal cable broke (thus the sound got screwed over)., Great communication and even though I lost one of the large biflanges, Fang still sent me a new pair of RE2's to replace them include new biflanges and everything. Great communication. Definitely great service.

I have to disagree, as I'm having a less-than-pleasant experience dealing with this vendor.

I had ordered a Dowin DW04 cable from Head-direct, and they sent me a DW08 cable in a bag labelled "DW-04". When I notified them of this, along with a screenshot, they said they would send another one (this was last Wednesday), but I never received any tracking number or any confirmation or communication that the replacement cable was actually shipped, which I did receive when I first purchased the cable.

It's now Tuesday, and I've gotten no response, despite my follow-up emails to confirm that the cable has been shipped. I paid nearly $30 for that cable, so it's not something I can let slide.

Agreed, great communication and great service. My pk2's cable was busted, I got a replacement within a week after he received them.

Your cable was shipped on Sept 1st via EMS express mail. We did not get tracking info from EMS yet, but you should receive your cable on Monday or Tuesday next week.

My experiences are most certainly on the plus side -- great products, great service. Fang is a gentleman and as honest a businessman as they come.

A+++.

He is a supporter of Head-Fi big time.

He went out of his way to help me put together an amp+cable gift for an important customer of mine in Florida, all at the last minute (during CanJam '08 -- and I was short of cash so he gave me a break!), and his gear was a huge hit at the NJ meet, as was he (we took him to dinner and talked politics!).

Seriously, as I said, I appreciate Jonathan's noticing.

Thumbs up Thanks for great service.

Hi Fang,

Just a note of thanks for shipping the Qinpu Q1 and FiiO E5 so quickly to me. I am now enjoying the Q1 with a pair of newly aquired Darth Beyer V3 headphones.

I am sure that I will be back in the near future for some of your other products.

Always a pleasure to do business with you.

Best regards,

Steve

I don't think "Great" covers it. It's simply amazing.
