Default Getting a replacement?

There is something off with my head-direct RE-2. The left side seems to be lighter than the right side. It wasn't like this in the beginning and now is just fading. Regardless, I loved these headphones and I would like to know how to get a replacement. I bought these in November so its been less than a year.

Replace the filters. When wax gets stuck in the filters, this happens. Very, very common.

Oh, thanks. Hm. Wouldn't it be safer to get the replacement since it is within the year replacement warranty.

It's always possible that a driver is failing (this happened to me with a pair of Grados once, in fact, so nobody is free from the problem), but it's best to run a bunch of tests first.

foobar2000 is well equipped for dealing with this problem. Try (on the DSP page) "downmix channels to mono" and flipping the earphones around. Try "reverse stereo channels" and chance them back and forth. Determine if it's a real problem rather than a perceived problem first, then try changing the filters.

Yep, definitely problem w/ driver. I did what you said and I shipped it back. Good thing it decided to die within my 1 year replacement warranty.
