Sennheiser Black Dragon Headphone cable Return Rumor? - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio

There is a rumor that the Black Dragon Sennheiser cable will be making a return. I think it was just last week I was telling someone I doubt it.... But thanx to Cardas this has become a reality. A new mold, Which we will also make available to DIYers is now available that will enable us to bring the Black Dragon Senn cable back. The reason we could not continue with this cable was a result of the existing mold being to small for the Black D's girth. This mold should solve it.

Also to you DIYers we will make the mold available for $30 a pair. I will upload a picture shortly

So for someone who already has a BD cable, how much would it cost to change to these new connectors? Is it even worth changing?

There is no reason to change yours. This new connector just allows us to be able to bring the Senn Black D out of retirement

That's good news, Drew. I'm sure it's a great cable with both the HD650 and HD600. I know the Silver Dragon is! I've got 10 different Senn replacement cables, and the Silver Dragon flip flops for the #1 slot with another cable that shall remain nameless. It's pretty much a tie and very mood dependent for me. After that, there are 3 or 4 others that are pretty decent, and then a bunch that don't get any use at all.
