How do these compare with RS1's?

Yes I do like the Grado sound, but I also had some 601's briefly and I recall they were quite impressive. I'm starting from the bottom and working my way up here so spare me the finer points of sonic purity, after paying a painful UK price of £480/$900 for them am I going to be giggling like a little girly or wishing I'd spent half the money on some 702's.

thanks.

Otherwise, they (the 701's) are sonically, and comfortably, shear bliss. I could easily live with 702's even if there were no technical or sonic changes from the 701's bar the smooth headstrap.

JMHO
The AKG K 702's still have the same headstrap, the goofy irrritating nubs are still there.

A pair of the 702 are going to be a retirement present to myself. I am so tired of the Grados I own killing my ears.
