What wallet, most have been destroyed long ago. Why did I buy a new dac 6 weeks ago. Of course I could always use two!

Just focus on DAC directly related circuits only, after you compare the board size of Max DAC with UtraMicro DAC's, you will see UltraMicro DAC PCB has enough space.
The only thing we can not ask for in UltraMicro DAC is squeezing decent enough PSU such as the σ22 in UltraMicroDAC's case as obviously it has no space for that. If we use external σ22 PSU with UltraMicro DAC, it is still decent enough. Actually this is the configuration I am using at home.

Unbalanced outs as well. No volume control. Has output filter select and input select on front panel---input data rate is auto locking and has lock lights.
NO SWITCHES ON THE REAR PANEL!!!!

And from what I hear, it is certainly not just a Max DAC board in a box...

Great news, the DAC market certainly is going to get to be pretty golden for Christmas it seems. I have to start saving.

So this would use the desktop case? Astrodyne recommended (or included )?
It sounds spectacular!

Yep, the new DAC will come in our Desktop-sized chassis & the Astrodyne PS is included.
Of course, the HeadRoom DPS remains highly recommended!

Indeed, Sloth ... its MUCH, much more than a Max DAC in its own box!
