Thanks Tyll for the information about the new amp and the HD800s. Looking forward to the audition. What will happen to the ability to service the Balanced Max and to get parts for it now that it is discontinued? Scottsmrnyc

Eventually you'll get used to believing me about this kind of thing, but all the parts for the Balanced Max remain current, either in other products in HeadRoom's line (the electronics modules for example), or by the original manufacturer (switches, caps, resistors etc.), and will continue to be current in the foreseeable future. Your warranty agreement applies whatever products they introduce in the future.

I lost my bloody credit card the other day, so I hope these don't come out for at least 5 days or so (blasphemy, I know, but I have to wait for them to send a new one =( ).

Hopefully, the trio (800/PS-1000/E8) comes out around the same timeframe. However, I think the PS-1000 seems like it will be out the soonest. The 800 and E8 are a toss-up bordering on late March, early April.

That didn't work out too well for a whole bunch of "Xin Reference" enthusiasts
I too, would rather have numerous amounts of plastic explosives (credit cards...wow, I just made that up!)

I pray it isn't that long of a wait! The only reason I went that route is because I had this feeling that the missus would max out the cards JUST as the HD800s were finally hitting the shores!

Heh, funny story, I just got this card last year to build up my credit history, having never had a credit card before. But now, I find that it allows me to purchase/finance things that I couldn't afford to buy outright..like the HD800's =)

That's not a funny story, that's the beginning of the decline of our current economic situation.

Yeah, but I'm not buying a house with it, and then just paying off the interest, with the principal left unchanged I'll be able to fully pay off the HD800's as soon as I get my tax refund, so I'm not too worried.
