I've sorta had this conversation at inside HeadRoom, might as well mention it here:
You're human; you make mistakes. Denon is a group of humans, they aren't perfect; they had a glitch in stock levels, oh well. Really, it's just one of those things. I can't name a vendor we haven't had an availability problem with at some point. In fact, the biggest availability problems we've had is the stuff we make.
The pricing thing is just life on the internets. We offer the Shure products at a lower price than Shure likes. My guess is that we'll have to have a "call for price" policy on Denon cans, too. But the agreement with Denon is freshly minted, and we'll have to have a number of conversations with them for our understandings and policies to come up to speed.
Til the I'm going to enjoy the fact that we got 2 more 5000s to play around with here, 'cuz that means a pair I can friggen listen to. I STILL haven't had the one pair we have in my office for more than a day;
everybody here thinks these cans rock.
