I see you don't sell many cables these days. Why is that? You always made great cables. One of my prize possessions is an old Total Airhead cable, circa 2001. The ones with the flat right angle plug. I've never dared to look, but what was the wire inside them? Silver? Copper. It's a very thin cable, but it looks like two twisted strands. I'm curious about how they were made.

Cables are extremely labor intensive and also a highly competitive market around here. My suspicion is that Headroom is focused on providing you with the best headpone amp and headphone information and simply can't do it all to the level of excellence they uphold.

Yeah, I'm afraid Nate got it right. We found that it was much more efficient to buy cables from others, and make money on manufacturing labor with out electronics gear.
Re-cabling headphones, though, is an area we remain committed to follow, our stumbling blocks there are arranging agreement with manufacturers that permit us to do the mod without voiding the warranty. We're kinda struggling along with that, but we'll get there.
