Why don't you add an IEM GAIN position switch to the iQube?
|
Well the iQube does have a gain switch, low and high position. Where high is
meant for High ohm loads and low for low ohms (such as IEM).

Do you mean for DIY? or that we incorporate it?
For the first yes I guess it would be possible although hard to achieve, we will not support this.
For the second: no, it will not be incorporated at this moment. We are evaluating about dropping the analogue line in for an optical in at a later stage.

Oh man, this has me salivating, the iqube is a lovely amp in all manner of ways.
Any info on the dac chip to be used? And definitely keep us updated on the optical in decision.
Id be all over that if it came with an optical in.

I know this is obsessive compulsive, but one of the small details that made the original iQube fantastic was the black iQube rubber band that wrapped around the iPod. So far there has only been one version of this. Will you come out with new rubber bands or something similar that is adjustable? Thanks.

I sincerely hope this comment was a joke.
Could you provide more information about what we can expect from the V2's DAC section?
I'm a fan of the iQube's design, and if I ever get the money together for a portable rig, your amp will be at the top of my list!
I'd also like to mention that the inclusion of an optical port would probably give me quite a bit more impetus in that respect as well.

But an optical port would make the the iQube look ugly.

Not necessarily. I'm sure they could find a way to integrate it without disrupting the aesthetics of the overall unit too much. I know that's subjective, but at this price point anything that adds value to the unit is would be appreciated. And having an optical port is a significant feature.

Iqube is noted for its form AND function, not form OVER function.

Hey everyone, AH finally its here the iqube plus dac! I am not sure if it would be a good idea do replace the analog input with an optical input though (for a portable rig) not many mp3-players have a digital input.... I think the price is nice enough, but it might indeed be expensive if you live in the usa. But then again thats the problem when you make products in eu to be exported to the usa... I am not much of a fan of non-replacable batteries either, but luckily eindhoven isnt far away lol.
I, personally think its a pity that there is no separate dac, but choices have to be made...
Greetings, Anouk,

in case of iqube version 1, the rubber of cover peeled away too easily. aren't you? When it open the rubber cover, Using soft chamois leather cloths or cleaning cloth of glasses with thumb.
good news!!! to added volume knob indicator.
at all events, Comes to wait !!!
Cheers

They can use a mini optical jack that looks like the normal 3.5" stereo jack. and they may not leave the analog input since the connector can work both for optical and analog signal.. just like 3.5" stereo jack/optical output on nowadays laptop.
