Default Sending iPod to Vinnie directly from the Apple Store U.S.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but since ALO is a partner of Red Wine Audio I thought it would be ok.

I'm not living in the U.S. but I would like to purchase an iPod from the Apple Store U.S. and send it directly to Vinnie. The shipping adress should be clear but should I put Vinnie's data into the billing adress fields, because it's U.S. only this would be the only way.

I've send Vinnie an e-mail but this is like an emergency and I couldn't wait till monday.

Thanks in advance,

Juli

well, since you live in Austria, this doesn't sound too absurd as far as saving yourself some money goes.. but no comment as to wether it'd be cool with Vinnie or not

Yes, that's what I was thinking.
There is no other way, I can't put any different adress in there.

I have this fear, that I wake up tomorrow and there are no iPods left. Now that would be a nightmare.

Cheers,

Juli

Well you could buy an iPod already modded to an iMod by Red Wine right from ALO's website.

It is $575 for th iMod 80GB, and iMod cable. Heck of a deal if you ask me.

Not if you don't want the cable. And there is another thing which is different...

Already have the cable? And I assume you mean VAT and other associated fees?

If you don't want the cable email Ken and see if he will sell it without.

Hi Juli,

Yes, you can send your iPod to me directly from apple as long as you make sure your name is in the address (so I know it is your iPod):

Red Wine Audio
c/o "your name here"
50 High Street, Unit 2B
Meriden, CT 06451 USA

Best regards,

Vinnie

And what should I write in the billing adress fields? The same?

Should I mark this: "My shipping address is a business address.
(This helps us choose the best shipping method for you.)" ? It is on the apple store page.

just on a note. I don't think the apple store has older ipods. You cannot send him a 6g ipod because that cannot be used for imod yet.

You can get refurbished ones and even new 5.5g iPods from the Apple Store.
The Apple Store (U.S.)
