Default The new Creative Zen

I've been searching around the internet for a few hours looking at the best way to replace my cd player. It seems that the DACs in some mp3 players are actually pretty good.

Anyway, I'm interested in the new 16gb flash based Zen. Does anyone know what the DAC is like in them? And what is the line out path like? Will it do a good job of replacing a $2500 cd player?

Will any mp3's stored with lossless music do a job of replacing a $2500 cd player?

I just bought a 32g ZEN . I am very suprised at the quality of the sound . I only listen to lossles [wma ,vbr , wav] I tried the zen on the Aux line of my Alpine[cd9887] . Sounds better than my CD changer did . I havn't used it in my home system yet , but I'll get to it . You can see my equipment below . I have a decent stereo syst. also . Sound was major for me . Bottom line is " i am Happy " with the Zen .
