iPhone/2G iTOUCH Line Out Dock - W/ PHOTO
I am in the process of making a stocked iPhone line out dock cable and will post photos and details here in this thread. All of my ipod LOD cables will NOT work with a iPhone because the iPhone requires that a few pins be activated and up until now I have not stocked any iPhone cables ready for sale. IMPORTANT The new 2G iTouch with built in speakers are much like the iPhone. A normal iPod LOD will not work with a 2Gen iTouch, you must use one of these iPhone LODs to send the signal to your amp. I recently bought a 32gig 2Gen iTouch and confirmed all this.
Instructions for use
1. Plug in ALO iPhone/iTouch cable*
2. When asked if you would like to use in airport mode choose yes, if you want.
3. Use with your amp.
The iPhone cable also works fine with any ipod.
*the phone can be on, no need to power down the phone
Thank you all,
Ken

A quick question, do you still build LODs with slim dock adapters? (Like in this thread). I'm finding it a PITA to find one that would fit my Touch when its protective case is on (the stock plug does just fine).

Indeed.. I even have one that is slightly smaller. I do not like the super small one all that much for a number of reasons but do have it. The iPhone cables we are manufacturing now do use the the connector that is seen in that link. I will get the photo up very soon hold please and check back here.
Thanks
Ken

ALO Cryo CXS iPhone Cable, mono crystal Ohno continuous cast copper, silver plated in a PE jacket. I have contracted CryoParts to cryo treat all parts of the cable, ipod connector, mini plug (Switchcraft) and of course the wire.
Look for this and other ALO Cryo SXC cables coming soon.
Thanks

Thanks Mrarroyo, and all posters.
We are real busy with the new website and utilizing this new wire in our product line. I hope to make the jump to the new site and make a formal announcement, roll out the new product lines by the end of the month. I want to build enough inventory before doing all this. But there will be a 22awg cable and a larger 18awg version. The 22awg version is actually a littler larger than the JL cryo dock, more like a 20awg. Hold for pricing.

I'm anxious to see those slim units. Any chance of hinting at the size? AFAIK, iQables currently sells the slimmest aftermarket housing at 6.9mm. Still far away from Apple's molded connectors at 5.5mm though. I'm desperately hoping for something in between...
