Batteries are meant for "gadgets" while the real hi-end systems only have "power supply" that can make system really shine with good power cords and power system (plugs, outlet, ground, etc.).
Hmm... My RWA Sig 30 "gadget" religated my $2400 40W per channel tube amp to the bottom shelf, it’s all lonely now. I think I heard it crying the other day.

Ken, it is obvious that you just dont have good enough power cords...
I'm referring to VCap dock, man. Yeah, it should sound better with extra preamp and buffer but as good as $1000 CDP.....I guess not. That's all. Why should we continue to tribute this arguement?
P.S. VCap dock is good idea but it lacks some little adjustments like IEC power input and fuse (I don't think small preamp+buffer in less than 500ma need fuse after all. My hifi-tuning fuse costs way more than power supply itself and it's almost impossible to be broken for common uses)

dude me thinks u'd better cutya losses and hightail it outta here pronto. this is THE wrong thread to advocate the disadvantages of battery powered devices. while im sure u meant well, its coming out all twisted man. i'd say quit while you're ahead. remember tomatoe and toemahhtoes - its all good mon
Just about ready to bite the bullet on the $850 Imod/V-cap system on Ken's website. Now the question: What cabling?? Jumbo Cryodock?? Already have Ken's mini-mini cryo, the rap around cryo for my 46 Imod, but wondering if I want something larger diameter for this system???
I really like the cotton dock I purchased for the v-cap portable. I also have an imod cotton dock for when I want to be a little more portable.
All in all, I don't see how you could go wrong. I think the 5.5 gen imod sounds even better than my 4g imod. Then when you add the vcap it's just amazing!!
I have the iMod/portable Vcap as well and just LOVE it! After much deliberation, I went with the Jumbo Cryo dock and matching mini-mini cable. I was quite tempted by the Jumbo cotton...but heard enough about it being a bit less portable friendly due to it's stiffer nature.
All in all...you really can't go wrong with either Jumbo cable.

Although I dunno if it's a valid claim or not (doubtful it is however), I find it funny how somebody who just expresses thier opinion is bashed. Just because he's not following the cult doesn't mean he's not entitled to his own opinion/have his own brain.
