Ken,
While this product is sweet, what I was hoping for was an iPod dock mounted on top of the metal box (that includes the caps, RCA jacks, etc.) so there would be no need to attach an external cable. In other words, the poor man's version of the fancy wood dock.

Ken, some of us prefer the sound of silver cables. Any chance you could offer the "combo" with either copper or silver cables in the dock out? Thanks.
Mrarroyo,

You bet. Let me work on one and I will post it in a few.

Thanks

Ken

Hey Jim,

The integration of a "plug in dock", where you plug in the ipod just like the wood version is VERY difficult to do. You are talking about engineering a bunch of parts and making a difficult assembly and tricky soldering. In other words it would end up not being a poor mans version if I went that route. Moreover such a plug in dock would not be so portable.

I do agree that for pure audio quality it a much better way to go. The A/B wood Vcap Dock VS Portable Vcap dock proves this.

Jim, thanks for the post.

Ken

A clean, but large setup. Probably the best sound you could get out of a portable rig period though.

What about digital out > external DAC?

iMod --> 4wire Jumbo Cryo cable --> P-Vcap Dock --> Test 6 Wire Salty Pepper RCA cables ---> LISA3 Amp (Triadaudio)

The IC for the amp is still a work in progress. This set up with a pair of Modded Grado 325s is just stunning though.

^Wow! Thats a beast ken, I'm sure people are going to be blown away from the sound. So here comes the Captain Obvious questions:
Will the Jumbo Dock Make a difference compared to the dock that comes with Portable V-dock? Should we take into consideration the quality of dock and mini 2 mini that we are going to purchase from you to use w/ the Portable Vcap?

Ken, would the Cyro Dock works with the P-Vcap Dock?
