That is true; however, I think the female iMod dock is still a good investment - you may not always want to use the iMod with the VDock (meaning you may want to take it on the road from time to time).
I know that the V-Cap dock will be able to use a regular ipod dock cable and I know that the female dock already has Blackgates, I didn't really explain myself well enough.
I do not want to wait any longer and want to upgrade later to a V-Cap portable, but get the iMod now. I would have to suck up the cost for the female adapter, but, like Skylab, think that this is a good investment for now. Thank you for letting me know for sure that the mini to mini would be fine. Now, I know that Ken also has a service to add charging capabilities to the iMod Dock Connectors currently (I plan to do this for my female adapter so that I can charge and listen, ESPECIALLY if the V-Cap dock won't). I also know that this V-Cap package will include a usual iPod dock cable. Why can we not add this charging function into it for "a small fee" like $85? This way, the enclosure with the caps itself does not have to charge for us and will remain just as portable.
This would mean using a power supply if you were wondering.
P.S. sounds like Ken may be able to take a short amount of orders, I would consider getting one but as there is no pricing out there, I can't tell if its above or below my $1000 limit on the iMod system with everything needed.
I am glad that there is no charging circuit, personally. Overcomplicates things, is more expensive, and has the possibility of introducing much unwanted noise. The absence of it surely harkens back to RWA's philosophy.

One - Charging is going to increase the over all dimensions of the enclosure and I wanted to give this the smallest foot print possible, Two – adding a charging circuit would add about $100 to the cost of the device because I would need to make a cable that connects to the iPod, and a bunch of wiring to the device with sockets and add a PS Three – I do not like the possibility to introduce line noise. In addition, Four (and most importantly) – I wanted this to be a portable device away from any wall sockets. Therefore, the configuration is simple; a Mini input on one side and a mini out AND RCA outs on the other side. I am going to make a deticated cable that will come included with the purchase to the device, however if you have a standard Ipod Dock cable that will also work. If you want to use it with your home AMP, just use some RCA cables.

I could not agree with you more. Battery power is awesome :he90:
That applies to the device. I am talking about the included line out dock. Once again, NOT the actual Vcap dock that Ken's quote is referring too. I am not going to say it again.

What am I...10 years old? Whaddya mean your not going to say it again.? That was nasty.
When you say, and I quote: "Why can we not add this charging function into it for "a small fee" like $85?" where else would it go if not in the V-Cap assembly this is what I responded to. Sorry if I'm not Kreskin and didn't fully understand.
Patience goes a long way and doesn't cost anything, especially for people who are trying to help you out.
