I have an SXC line out for my iPod Classic (Non-iMod), and it has abou 25 hours of burn in. I have owned for about 3 years an ALO Six Shooter which has been my standard. Many a line out has come and gone and yet I still have the Six Shooter.

The new SXC has become my new standard! it has managed to combine the copper and silver qualities in a very nice way. It provides the warmth of copper w/ the speed and extension of silver. Overall it has a mellow presentation w/ a very wide soundstage and good treble extension.

The Six Shooter being a 6 wire pure silver does extend a bit more. However it lacks the smoothness and warmthness of the SXC.

I can only imangine how much better the SXC will sound w/ more burn in. SWEET!

Hey guys,

I already own a ALO Cryo Dock that I bought from Ken a month or two ago, to use it with my iPod Classic.

Since I can't mod it, I'm thinking about getting the best LOD possible SQ-wise, to be sure that I'm getting the best sound out of my iPod line out.

Should my decision be for the SXC 18G cable or for the Jumbo Cryo x Silver iPod Dock?

I'm really doubtful on this one, and I want to make sure I'm getting the best product from KB for my non-iMod situation.

If you see my previous review earlier in the thread, I tried several of these on my 3G Nano and 1G Touch and the ALO SXC was slightly better and more transparent than my ALO Jumbo Cryo Silver X which had the same gains over the ALO Cryo dock itself. With the iMod I had the same results. I would get the SXC without a doubt.

NP, thanks! Your review was great btw. Hoping if Ken can give his word on this too. The only bad thing about it is that both of them cost twice the amount I paid for my Cryo Dock. My wallet keeps screaming in deep pain... Well, anyone interested on one?

Hmmmm, after some thinking I think I'll get a SXC. Just emailed Ken to get some more information

EDIT: Couldn't help it. Even before getting Ken's email, I purchased one. I hope it gets gome as fast as my ALO Cryo Dock did.

Just got my brand new ALO SXC iPod 18G cable. It took exactly one week to come all the way from USA to Brazil. Haven't gotten anything this fast. Of course, didn't have any custom headaches, and it came via Express Mail.

IT just sounds much better now. Since I can't get an iMod anymore, I'm now sure that I'm getting the best SQ out of my stock iPod Classic 160GB. And it feels so good to know that

Much warmer than my ALO Cryo Dock, soundstage seems a bit wider, and the bass is much tighter now. Just amazing. Whoever buy this won't regret for sure. The mids are much better too. UE TF 10 Pros are much warmer now, yet still analythical.

Its synergy with my UE TF 10 Pros is just awesome. Just can't stop listening to my lossless musics.

I'm currently using LOD (ALO Cryo X Silver), but still looking for another LOD (ALO SXC Cryo) to use with my new portable rig. But I want it to be really portable... something like the attached image.

I don't portability problems with his regular LODs. do you think you need an even smaller LOD from Ken? The ALO SXC Cryo iPod cable is perfect for portable rigs.
